The most important result of the 1200-day monitoring exercise in Gaborone West was the total lack of drainage system blockages arising from the use of the LVFT, thus destroying, for a system built to British Standards, the myth that water conservation automatically leads to blocked drains. |

The LVFT design installed in Gaborone and Maseru (Lesotho) has also now been supplied to China, where the Building Research Institutes of Shanghai and Chendu are responsible for trial installations, and to Brazil, where a 30-house site is being monitored by the Institute de Pesquisa Tecnológica, the technology research institute of the State of São Paulo, as part of a collaborative research study with Heriot-Watt University. |
