Possibly the weirdest latrine in the world How do the local people use it?
The latrine ‘pit’ is the concrete pipe indicated by the yellow arrow and
the green wooden superstructure is up in the air. Around 200 were built in Turbo, Uraba in
Colombia (but don’t blame the Colombians, at least not wholly − the design was
by a European NGO and the project was funded by a European bilateral aid
agency!).
