Tonight, PowerSolo were truly thrilling &#8211; best live band I&#8217;ve seen in a long long time&#8230;..possibly ever! Amazingly energetic guitar playing, funny and fast &#8211; Riff-tastic! &#8211; these guys know how to whip up a party. I&#8217;ve previously seen him as a wild front man (<a href=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/2010\/10\/15\/the-jim-jones-review-russell-the-wolves-the-pablos-bsc-leeds-141010\/\">Russell and the Wolves<\/a>) and as a wild solo synth player (<a href=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/2016\/04\/06\/meatbodies-intelligence-girl-sweat-brudenell-5416\/\">Girl Sweat<\/a>). Tonight he was the wild drummer in Hamer &#8211; and a bloody good drummer too! Hamer are a high octane, take no prisoners type of band. The lead singer was prone to removing the mike with his mouth whilst howling &#8211; a great start to an amazing night.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/2017\/03\/06\/powersolo-hamer-brudenell-social-club-leeds-5317\/img_3634\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5039\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-5039 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_3634-e1488843773559.jpg\" width=\"619\" height=\"246\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_3634-e1488843773559.jpg 619w, https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_3634-e1488843773559-250x99.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 619px) 100vw, 619px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I only came across <a href=\"http:\/\/www.powersolo.dk\/\">PowerSolo <\/a>fairly recently when I saw their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JvGJoNkOiI0\">boom ba ba da ba daba<\/a> video and instantly wanted more. They&#8217;re Danish brothers and have been going for years &#8211; can&#8217;t believe I&#8217;ve missed out on them for so long. The guitar work was amazing &#8211; rockabilly style with no need for a bass. They bounce off each other, obviously having a ball. Their drummer Zack looked like the happiest man in the world&#8230;&#8230;and playing for these guys, who wouldn&#8217;t be?! Suave and Super Cool&#8230;..and a little bit crazy&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/2017\/03\/06\/powersolo-hamer-brudenell-social-club-leeds-5317\/img_3647\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-5041\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5041\" src=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_3647.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"720\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_3647.jpg 720w, https:\/\/sleigh-munoz.co.uk\/quims\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_3647-250x167.jpg 250w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 720px) 100vw, 720px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t think of how the gig could have been better? they played for 2 hours and it felt like 20 minutes &#8211; I could have listened all night.
