5 bands for £2.00……hard to believe but true…..and the 3 we saw were excellent!

"Colours"

Colour of Spring were playing as we entered – the lead singer had a NEU! T-shirt on so he was in my good books already. Edgy pop with a touch of ‘Slowdive’ about them – a really good set…..but terrible footwear….

"Sieze"

Seize the Chair on the other hand wore Docs and New Balance and absolutely blew me away with there full on triumphant sound. Tonight was the album launch of ‘Ratworld’ by Leeds own Menace Beach. A funny mix of Seattle stlye noise mixed in with C86 sensibility. Seize the chairs guitarist was playing with them and we found out he was called ‘Nick’ and that it was his birthday tomorrow and they dedicated a number to his mum Pat. They all had docs on from what I could see – always a winner in my book….look forward to seeing them all again
