Wire played a blistering set that spanned their whole career and unlike a lot of bands still going from the 70’s, their new stuff is arguably better than their old. The new blade on guitar complemented their sound wonderfully with thrashy sounds heavy enough for the most dedicated Nirvana fan. A sonic wave of loveliness that you didn’t want to end – Two encores just wasn’t enough. I noted last time I saw them that they had a Mac on stage – this has been updated to an iPad that did some pretty groovy looped stuff…..can I have one please?
